Audi e-tron Electric Steering Rack Repair

Audi e-tron Steering Rack Specialists

Pro Power Steering assesses, repairs and reconditions electric steering racks for Audi e-tron model families. These vehicles use several different platforms and steering systems, so we identify the original rack from the VIN, registration, complete unit label and diagnostic information before confirming repair or replacement.

Audi e-tron Models We Can Assess

Audi A6 e-tron and S6 e-tron

A6 Sportback e-tron, A6 Avant e-tron, S6 Sportback e-tron and S6 Avant e-tron enquiries are assessed from the vehicle and original steering unit.

Audi Q4 e-tron

Q4 SUV e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron steering-rack enquiries, including different motor, drivetrain and model-year specifications.

Audi Q6 e-tron and SQ6 e-tron

Q6 SUV e-tron, Q6 Sportback e-tron and relevant SQ6 variants require exact VIN and rack-label identification.

Audi e-tron and Q8 e-tron

Original Audi e-tron, e-tron Sportback, Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron applications are treated separately from the petrol, diesel and hybrid Q8/SQ8/RS Q8 family.

Audi e-tron GT

e-tron GT, S e-tron GT, RS e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT performance enquiries are assessed by VIN and original unit because steering specification can vary.

New Audi electric models

For very new models such as the A2 e-tron, or new Q9 applications where steering data and repair stock are still developing, contact us with the VIN and unit photographs. We will confirm whether the rack can be assessed before it is sent.

Why Audi e-tron Racks Must Be Identified Exactly

The e-tron name covers different vehicle platforms. A rack from one e-tron model must not be assumed to fit another, even when connectors or base numbers look similar. Right-hand-drive specification, full part number, software, steering ratio, travel, PR codes and any rear-steering equipment must all be checked.

Safety first: do not fit or calibrate a rack until its compatibility has been confirmed from the original unit and vehicle data.

Common Audi e-tron Steering Faults

Heavy or intermittent steering

Assistance may reduce, disappear or return after restarting. Power supply, earths, communication faults and the steering unit should be diagnosed before repair is agreed.

Warning lights and fault codes

Send a complete diagnostic scan rather than only the dashboard message. The exact codes and vehicle details help separate rack faults from voltage, wiring or network problems.

Noise, play or notchy steering

Mechanical wear can occur without a stored electronic code. The rack, inner joints, mountings and connected steering parts should be inspected.

Calibration after fitting

Some applications require end-stop learning, steering-angle basic settings, coding or calibration. Requirements depend on the exact unit and vehicle.

For Private Customers, Garages and Trade

We welcome individual customers, garages, workshops, vehicle specialists and resellers. We can discuss rack-only repair, reconditioning, supply and fitting where appropriate. Most units are covered by our one-year warranty; for resellers or vehicles sold to a third party, tell us the actual sale or fitting date if it differs from the invoice date.
