Steering Rack Repair for Hertfordshire
Hertfordshire steering repair from our Essex workshop
Pro Power Steering helps Hertfordshire motorists and garages with electric, hydraulic and manual steering rack faults. Our only workshop is in West Thurrock, Essex. If a local garage has removed the faulty unit, contact us about sending it to the workshop for assessment and return after an agreed repair.
We welcome enquiries from Watford, St Albans, Stevenage, Hemel Hempstead, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Hertford, Hitchin and nearby towns. Collection and return arrangements depend on the address and component, so please contact us before dispatch.
Ask about a Hertfordshire steering repair
Tell us the vehicle make, model, registration, symptoms and any diagnostic fault codes. We will explain the next practical step and confirm whether the removed unit should be sent to us.
Keep your local garage
Your Hertfordshire garage can remove and later refit the steering unit while we carry out specialist assessment and repair.
Repair the identified unit
Where technically suitable, repairing the vehicle’s original unit can avoid uncertainty over used-part condition and compatibility.
Agree carriage first
We confirm packaging, delivery and return options before you send a rack, pump, box or EPS unit.
How send-and-return works
1. Describe the fault
Share the vehicle details, steering symptoms and any diagnostic report. We can advise what information is useful before removal.
2. Remove and identify the unit
A competent local garage removes the relevant component and confirms its identification. Do not send a part before we have agreed the procedure.
3. Workshop assessment
At our West Thurrock workshop, we inspect the unit and advise whether repair, reconditioning or another solution is appropriate. Work proceeds on the agreed basis.
4. Return for refitting
After completion, the unit can be returned to the agreed address for refitting and vehicle checks by your garage.
Electric and hydraulic steering problems
We assess suitable EPS racks, hydraulic racks, steering pumps and steering boxes. Symptoms may include intermittent assistance, warning messages, heavy steering, leaks, noise or excessive play. These symptoms can have several causes, so diagnosis matters before a repair is promised.
Our service supports private owners as well as garages handling Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Jaguar, Land Rover, Porsche and other vehicles. The correct repair depends on the specific vehicle and fitted component.
